Instructions

Ingredients
Fresh Kakadu plums, or Kakadu plum powder

Step-by-Step
If using fresh plums, simply eat them raw, straight from the tree — this is the traditional method, without any additional processing.
If using the powdered form, stir a small amount (follow package directions, typically around 1/2 to 1 teaspoon) into a glass of water or a smoothie.

Tips
Fresh Kakadu plums have a tart, astringent, slightly bitter flavor — an acquired taste for those unfamiliar with it.
Because the fruit is high in oxalates as well as vitamin C, people prone to kidney stones should moderate their intake.
Traditionally, the inner bark of the tree (not just the fruit) was also used topically for sores and insect bites.

Traditional logic

World's richest known source of vitamin C, used traditionally to fight infection

This is a historical and cultural reference, not medical advice. Many of these remedies have never been scientifically validated, and folk reasoning (humoral theory, “hot/cold” classifications, spiritual causation) reflects older explanatory traditions rather than modern medicine. Ratings reflect community opinion, not clinical evidence.
